I give every show, book, and movie a fair chance. Some surprise me while others prove me right. As I love to read books and watch English series/movies, I don’t want to miss this chance to talk about one of the… or rather two of the most iconic stories of Naruto and Harry Potter! I love both the stories. They are so addictive and eye-catching that I am both a Potterhead and a Narutard. The manga version of Naruto hit Japan a bit over a decade ago and is still going strong while other series have long withered out. The reason is simply its wealth of detail. The world of ninja societies, their training methods, dogmas, getups, etc. are thought out in excruciating detail and make for a wonderfully rich fantasy experience. This is a whole world that you can get lost in, believe it! The characters are not authentic concepts though. They all fall into typical anime stereotypes like the friendly hot-headed girl(Sakura), sullen cool guy(Sasuke), eccentric master(Kakashi), and the cutest but hyperactive little brat(Naruto). The only thing that makes them "original'' would be THEIR TRAGIC PASTS. Seems like everyone has a tragic past, some old grudge or worse. Then as the series goes along, more and more characters are added and the story too starts to get all weaved together due to the larger cast of characters.
Shinobi(aka ninja) were the specialized assassins, saboteurs, and secret agents of medieval Japanese warfare who were highly-trained proponents of the martial arts, especially what later became known as ninjutsu or 'the art of the ninja'. The best thing about this anime series is that you won’t feel lost in between, in the context of knowledge about shinobis and their tactics of training like ninjutsu, taijutsu, and genjutsu. They give you just the right dose of information about it so that you drift with the rush.
It’s just so appealing to see how kids work so hard in their schools and learn this rough-and-tough art that makes it look no less than magic. The whole "kids training to be magical ninjas" reminded me too much of Harry Potter.
Now coming to Harry Potter, I’d say that it’s one of the finest series that I can re-read as many times as you tell me to, and get this-, without getting bored! I mean ‘hats off’ to J.K. Rowling for taking fantasy to just another level. The Harry Potter series is still one of the best-selling books to date. Even though you’ll find the complete harry potter series in the form of movies on Amazon Prime, I’d still prefer to stick with the book as some scenes might get difficult for you to understand. if you choose to see the film first read the books subsequently. Also, seeing the movie first will make you miss a lot of super-cool and consequential little scenes that will help you comprehend the story better. In this story, you’ll find the savviest girl who never breaks a single rule and panics in the name of exams(Hermione), a boy who is clumsy, poor, and tries to be the centre of attention, friends with the most famous kid, Harry(Ronald) and the
boy who lived, one of the most famous boys who knew nothing about himself whereas the whole world did(Harry). These three go to the wizarding school and face trouble every year. In fact, when you’ll read these books, you’ll feel as if you were there where these things are taking place.
And do you know what the best thing about reading books is? It’s that you are free to imagine the face and features of the character you are reading about, you can think about the place which is mentioned in the book in your own way. But wait, that doesn’t mean that watching a series is flawed or something. While watching a series, it’s really effortless for you to get the features and voices of characters the moment you see them. You don’t need to watch it, again and again, to understand what the character means. You can get the emotions pretty quick, to be honest.
So, to conclude I‘d say that reading books and watching series can be a debatable topic. If you prefer watching series then that is acceptable, but remember that reading books too will not harm you. Maybe you can manage both, reading and watching series. And yes, I would love to refer this to you that if you still haven’t read the Harry Potter series and watched the Naruto series, then guys do watch it, otherwise, you are going to miss on a lot of quality, cool and pleasing stuff!
It's is Narutoad not narutard
